Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy

The EvexiPEL Method

Hormone pellet therapy for women and men, delivered by a doctorally prepared nurse practitioner. A small, plant-based pellet placed just under the skin releases hormones steadily over several months, so you are not riding the peaks and drops of pills, patches, or weekly shots.

Is This You?

A combination of fatigue, low mood, and reduced or absent libido can point to Androgen Insufficiency Syndrome (AIS), a hormone imbalance that responds well to hormone replacement therapy. Many patients also notice improvement in:

  • Insomnia
  • Early waking
  • Anxiety
  • Low energy and drive
  • Lethargy
  • Joint pain
  • Daytime sleepiness

If you would rather do one minimally invasive procedure every few months than remember a daily pill or a weekly injection, you are a good candidate to discuss pellet therapy.

What Makes It Different

The EvexiPEL Method is the flagship therapy of EVEXIAS Health Solutions, delivered through a partnership with a compounding pharmacy and an FDA-registered 503B outsourcing facility. It combines physiological principles with modern technique to optimize hormone levels in both women and men.

The pellet itself is plant based, derived from yams, and designed to be an exact replication of what your body already produces rather than a synthetic substitute. It is built for patient comfort and for sustained, steady dosing across the whole treatment cycle.

Your dose is not off a shelf. It is calculated from your own lab work and adjusted over time with your provider.

What to Expect

  1. Consultation and baseline labs

We order lab work to assess your hormone levels, confirm a suspected AIS diagnosis, and check related systems such as thyroid and adrenal. These results set your initial dose and are reviewed together at your first consultation.

  2. Your first insertion

A brief, minimally invasive in-office procedure. The pellet is placed just under the skin, and you leave with care instructions for the insertion site.

  3. Labs at four weeks

A smaller follow-up panel four weeks after your first insertion, to see how your body responded.

  4. Six-week follow-up visit

We review those results together and fine-tune your plan.

  5. Ongoing care

A full lab panel once a year, with reassessment any time your symptoms change meaningfully.

How Long It Lasts

Women 3 – 4 months

Very active patients may need therapy closer to every 3 months. Less active or elderly patients often go beyond 4.

Men 4 – 6 months

A typical cycle runs four to six months before the next insertion.

The return of early symptoms, fatigue, joint pain, or decreased libido, is usually the signal that it is time for your next insertion.

Common Questions

Do I need blood work before every treatment?

No. Initial bloodwork establishes your baseline and determines your first dose. You will have a smaller repeat panel four weeks after your first insertion, reviewed at your six-week visit. After that, a full panel is drawn annually, or sooner if your symptoms change significantly.

What are the pellets made from?

The EvexiPEL Method uses a patented pellet that is plant based and derived from yams, designed to replicate what your body produces rather than a synthetic hormone. It is formulated for comfort and for steady, sustained dosing through the treatment cycle.

Is pellet therapy FDA approved?

The individual ingredients in the pellets are FDA approved, and distribution of the pellets is regulated by the FDA. The insertion procedure itself is not FDA approved, and compounded bio-identical hormones are not FDA approved because they are dosed individually for each patient.

Prescribing a medication or therapy for a use the FDA has not explicitly approved is known as off-label use. It is common practice when a provider believes the treatment is safe and effective for that patient. We will go through all of this with you before you decide.

How do I know whether I am a candidate?

It starts with a consultation and lab work. If you are experiencing fatigue, low mood, and reduced libido, hormone therapy may be appropriate, but your labs and health history decide that, not the symptoms alone.

What does it cost?
  • New patient consultation$100
  • Hormone pellet insertion, women$330
  • Hormone pellet insertion, men$625
  • Hormone pellet insertion, men, higher dose$725

Please note: the listed fee covers the hormone pellet insertion procedure only. Laboratory testing is not included. Lab orders can be provided, and patients may choose to use their health insurance or pay out of pocket. Insurance coverage is subject to individual plan benefits.

Flexible monthly payment plans are available through Cherry, and we also accept CareCredit, Klarna, and Affirm.

A note on safety. Hormone therapy is medical care, not a cosmetic add-on. Every plan at The Tox Studio begins with lab work and a full review of your health history, and is managed personally by Adelina Salinas, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC.

This page is general education, not medical advice, and individual results vary. Your provider will discuss the benefits, the risks, and the alternatives with you before any treatment begins.
